About

The mission of the Northwest Arkansas Farmers’ Market Alliance is to support and promote the success, development, and benefits of local farmers’ markets as a viable resource for communities.

The NWAFMA was established in 2010 to share resources, provide networking opportunities for market managers, and foster collaboration among markets in Northwest Arkansas,  to ultimately encourage and support our local food economy.  We hold market manager meetings in the off-season when markets have closed or slowed down, and stay in touch through email throughout the year.  One of our largest initiatives is the Double Your Dollar project which provides a dollar for dollar match to SNAP and Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program recipients.
